Of Form & Flower
A Two-Part Workshop in Hand-building & Floral Design
Every flower arrangement begins with a vessel. The shape, proportion, and presence of that vessel influence everything that follows.
Day One • Sunday, July 26 | 11:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.
Hand-build a porcelain vessel thoughtfully designed for floral arranging. Together we’ll explore form, proportion, and texture while creating a piece that is both sculptural and functional. No experience is necessary. You’ll choose one of my glazes, and I’ll fire and finish your vessel in my gas kiln before we gather again.
Day Two • Sunday, August 23 | 11:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.
Return to find your finished vessel waiting at your place setting, ready to be filled with the flowers of high summer. Using seasonal blooms grown on our farm, you’ll learn an intuitive approach to floral design, exploring mechanics, balance, and negative space to create an arrangement that feels natural, expressive, and harmonious with the vessel you’ve created.
Your Experience Includes:
A pastry & quiche from Red House Sweets and one beverage of your choice from Catalyst Coffee Bar at each day of the workshop
All porcelain, flowers, tools, and materials
Glazing and kiln firing of your vessel
Your finished handmade porcelain vessel to keep
A floral arrangement to take home
By the end of the series, you’ll leave with a handmade vessel that is uniquely your own and the confidence to fill it with flowers again and again.
This is an invitation to slow down, create with intention, and experience the quiet satisfaction of bringing something beautiful from clay to bloom.
